PTU - Under the Sea

PTU - Under the Sea 05-15-12_UnderTheSea_VenomousCreations-1

This tutorial was written by me on May 15, 2012, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

Please leave some love when downloading supplies. The artists/creators work hard to make/share their work with us, so let's be appreciative. Please use all correct copyright information and follow all TOU’s. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

As always, tutorials are only a guideline. If you don't have the exact supplies, use ones you have or ones you choose.

Supplies:

Tube of choice – I used the awesome art of Jeff Wilkie

Purchased from PTE – please do not use same tube without the proper license

“Summer Cocktail” scrap kit by Bibi’s Collection

Sand picture tube that comes with PSP

Font of choice – Mine is “Ulbricht”

Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

To save time, I use the following abbreviations:

C/P = copy/paste

DS = drop shadow – my settings were:

Name_2_-5_50_5_Black

All other layers: 0_0_100_5_Black

ANL = as new layer

R/S = resize/sharpen

Open new blank image 650x600 in psp

C/P element59 ANL – R/S

C/P element 45 ANL – R/S – DS

Open tube of choice in PSP

C/P ANL – R/S and move it between the frame and water layers

Duplicate tube bringing copy above frame

Erase the parts of top tube layer that cover the right side of frame – see my tag for example – You want it to look like the dolphins are coming thru the frame

DS the bottom Dolphin layer only

Add a new layer above frame

Using the picture tube tool in psp, find the sand tube – left click and hold down while dragging across canvas to place sand to your liking – I went across once with mine leaving it thin looking

C/P element 35 ANL – R/S and bring to top – duplicate and then merge down (this makes the bubbles easier to see) – DS

C/P element 57 ANL – R/S – DS and place on right side of frame

C/P element 19 ANL – R/S – DS and position at bottom right corner of frame - duplicate and move copy slightly off center

C/P element 69 ANL – R/S – DS and position between the pink seaweed layers, raising it up slightly

C/P element 40 ANL – R/S – DS and place on the left corner of frame

C/P element 60 ANL – R/S – DS and place slightly above/right of white shell

C/P element 44 ANL – R/S – DS and place slightly on top of the other shells

OPTIONAL – add new layer above seaweed – use the sand tube again and add a little sand, changing the size, to cover bottom of stems making it look like the plants are growing out of the sand

Add all correct copyright info

Add your name/wording in font of choice – I chose “Ulbricht”_72_black_lower case letters

Effects – Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow_3_25_100_color of choice (#65afbc chosen from Dolphin )

Add DS

Save and you’re done!!
