FTU - Marika Ribbon



This tutorial was written by me on April 28, 2012, using my own ideas. Any resemblance to others is coincidental and accidental. This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of psp and is written in PSPX.

As always, tutorials are only a guideline. If you don't have the exact supplies, use ones you have or ones you choose.


Supplies:

WSL_Ribbon_Rope_Frame by the talented Weesscottslass

( it’s listed as “Freebie Frame )

Mask of choice – I used mask80 by mistressv-signaturecollections

Font of choice – Mine is “Algerian”

Eye Candy – Gradient Glow

Mura’s Meister - Copies

Tube of choice – I used “Foxy” by Marika

I purchased this tube at CDO

Please do not use this tube without the proper license


In psp, open a new image 600x600.

Copy/paste tube of choice as new layer.

Effects – Mura’s Meister – Copies – Wallpaper (rotate)– adjust the number so your image covers the layer

Adjust – blur – Gaussian blur – 10

Layers – New Mask Layer – From Image – choose your mask from the drop down list

On layer palette – right click mask layer – Merge – Merge Group

Copy/Paste Ribbon Rope Frame onto canvas as new layer

With magic wand, select the black portion of frames

Adjust – Add/Remove Noise – Add Noise – Random – 1 – Monochrome

Select None

Using magic wand, select inside each frame.

Sections – Modify – Expand – 3

Copy/paste tube of choice below frame.

Place so the parts you want show thru the frames.

Right click tube layer – Promote Section To Layer

Delete original tube layer

Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow _3 _ 25 _ 100 _ #7ec9f3 (or color to match your tube )

Drop shadow _ 0_0_50_10_black

Copy/paste tube onto canvas and place to right of frame

Repeat drop shadow

Add all correct copyrights and license info

Using font of choice, add your name by setting the “direction” to the red arrow on right – this will make your name go up and down

Add Gradient Glow and drop shadow

Save as png and enjoy!!
